Background

Ann C. McCowan has more than 20 years of public accounting experience. She is a licensed CPA in both California and Florida. Ann started her accounting career  with Deloitte Tax in Los Angeles - She transferred as a Manager with Deloitte to Miami in 2005. In 2007 she joined BDO as a Senior Manager and in 2011 Ann was recruited by PwC where she worked as a Tax Director until early 2014. She graduated Cum Laude from UCLA in 1999 with degrees in Business Economics and Accounting. She is a member of the AICPA and FICPA.

Ann has extensive knowledge of federal and state income tax compliance as well as a deep understanding of financial accounting under US GAAP. She has experience with preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations as well as  working with the IRS on resolutions. Ann is specialized in ASC 740 (FAS 109 & FIN 48) accounting for income tax and financial statement footnote disclosure for both public and non-public entities.

Client service and client satisfactions is number one for Ann - She takes pride in getting to know her clients and their business so that she can tailor her services to fit each specific client.

Ann is very active in her community. She served on the Board of Directors of the YWCA of greater Miami-Dade for six years as the Treasurer and the President.  In addition, she is the Treasurer serving on the Board at Compassionate Pug Rescue for the past 11 years.  She is also the co-fonder of Women of Influence.
